How to respond to a Consent item

Your child's school will add items that require your attention and these will be available in the Consent section of mySchoolApp. When you tap that section in the menu you will see a list of all consent items created by the school. You can use the filters at the top of the list to see what is relavent to your child. Tapping on an item in the list will open that on your device.

The consent item will explain why the school needs your consent (or refusal) and give details of the terms under which you are either granting or denying consent.

Tapping in the Name of child field will display the name(s) you have parental responsibility for. This data is fed from the school's Management Information System (MIS).

Select the name you wish this consent to apply to and tap I AGREE or I DO NOT grant consent

The app will request your Password/Touch or Face ID to authorise. You will receive an email confirming your action and the school records will be updated.

As required by GDPR, you can change your decision at any time. Simply tap the item to access. You will see the existing status at the top of the screen. Select the child name again and tap I AGREE or I DO NOT grant consent.
