Image gallery

The image gallery is where you add photos which are then accessible to parents and carers on your app.

How to add your first photos to the app

1. Decide how you want to organise the image gallery on your app. Images can be stored directly in albums or you can create a nested folder structure (albums containing subfolders) that may make it easier for app users to find the correct pictures.
   
   
2. To upload images click CREATE NEW ALBUM
3. Give the album a name. We recommend keeping the name short to ensure it fits in one line on a phone screen. The date will default to today, but can be overridden
4. Choose either to leave the album Public (default) or make it Private. Albums marked as private are only visible on the app, to users you have assigned.
5. You now have a choice, either add a Sub folder or add an image(s)

Add a single image
Click NEW IMAGE. Once the image pane is open click Choose file and navigate to the image stored on your computer or other device.

A caption can be added if required

Add multiple images
Click Choose files and navigate to the folder on your computer or device where the files are located. 'Shift select' to add files and click Open

If you are adding a large amount of large images, the upload may take some time and is dependent on the speed of your connection to the web. 

Individual images in albums can be made Private and are then only visible on the app to assigned parents/carers.

Once all uploads are complete click SAVE

If any images require editing (upside-down camera phone shots are a common problem) simply click the ROTATE button and then SAVE.

Once you have Albums in the list you can click on the name to edit and either add or delete images. 

Parents can now sort images on the app by either A – Z or New – Old

Safeguarding note: we have disabled 'Save to camera roll' on the app to restrict the distribution of images. We cannot however prevent users from taking a screenshot.
