So you've just downloaded the app to your phone. Here's a few pointers to help you get the best out of it.
App Registration
First off, you'll need to register. If the school (or other organisation has restricted access, you'll need to wait until you're sent an invitation to use the app by email. Full details about registering on the app can be found by clicking here.
Ensure you'll receive app messages
When you installed the app, hopefully you gave permission for the app to send you notifications. If you didn't, you can change this in your phone's notification settings.
Your child's school can send messages to all parents at once, but can also send to individual groups (classes, teams or clubs, for example). By opting in to the correct notification groups that are applicable to your child, you'll be sure to be kept up-to-date.
Full details about opting in to notification groups on the app can be found by clicking here.
Filter the News and Calendar to what's relavent to you and your child
When viewing the News or Calendar on the app you will see everything, but you can filter to only see what is relavent to your child.
On the News section of the app simply tap the categories in the bar across the top of the app to filter.
On the Calendar section of the app, you'll need to select List view in the top right corner and then select the category you want to filter by.
If you experience any problems with the app or require any support please email letting us know the name of the school or organisation you are registered with on the app.
Use the app to let the school know if your child will be absent
If your child is unable to attend school you can notify the school by using the Absence notification feature available* on the app.
* If activated by the school.
